Concordiastraße 11, Bamberg
Building Archeology of a medieval building complex in World Heritage city Bamberg
During a project preliminary to the restoration of the complex
of buildings in the Concordiastraße 11 in Bamberg we carried out
the building archeology and generated additional as-completed
drawings. The project was carried out by a working team consisting
of Format4plus GmbH, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) David Grüner M.A. and Schmuck
Denkmalpflege GmbH.
Several building parts were surveyed digitally and an overall
roof structure section and a longitudinal section were generated.
The preliminary existing as-completed drawings have been
supplemented and updated. The research in the buildings history led
to interesting results for the different types of use over the past
centuries. Based on the dendrochronologist analysis, the evaluation
of several testimonia and various results documented on site
construction phase plans have been designed.
The project was accomplished for Steinrestaurierung
Bauer-Bornemann GmbH and Mietusch&Jacob Architektenpartner.
