3D-Scanning of the tomb stele of Mnesarete
The aim of the 3D-Documentation of the tomb stele, which is
presented in the Glyptothek Munich was to document multiple ways of
surface processing used.
The tomb stele was recorded with two scanning devices, first of
all with the T-Scan 2 (Steinbichler Optotechnik), which enables a
fast workflow and an accuracy of measurement up to 0,3mm.
Secondly a structured light scanner (Comet L3D, Steinbichler
Optotechnik) was used to document precisely the delicate structures
on the surface of the stone. Due to the high accuracy of
measurement up to 0,018 mm even smallest structures can be
shown.
The project was realized by Format4plus GmbH.
